Soundbars

Adding a soundbar to your TV is the ideal way to get started in home cinema.

Our range starts with the Sonos Beam. It progresses to the Sonos Arc with its eleven driver phased array. These soundbars are, of course, compatible with other Sonos products in a multiroom system.

We also highly recommend the Bluesound PULSE SOUNDBAR 2i: the world’s first multi-room, high-res, wireless streaming home theater soundbar to feature crystal clear, 24-bit resolution sound. With its wireless streaming capability, you can listen to many popular music services or your own digital music library or stream directly from your smartphone, tablet or laptop with hi-res aptX® HD Bluetooth streaming.

The great sound of Bowers and Wilkins speakers is also available in soundbar format with the Formation series. In addition, Bang & Olufsen offer the stylish and capable wall mounted Beosound Stage, offering superb B&O sound for your TV.

Surround Sound Upgrades

Your soundbar can also be upgraded to a more sophisticated surround sound experience.

For example, the Bluesound PULSE can complemented by the Pulse Sub and a pair of PULSE FLEX 2i’s to add low bass and rear channels.

Similarly, add Formation Bass to the Formation bar for an even more immersive sound.

All of these systems are self contained and wireless, needing only mains connections. All the amplification and signal processing is contained within the units itself.

Dedicated 5.1 System

For the dedicated home cinema enthusiast, a discrete 5.1 or Atmos system is the ideal.

Yamaha makes a great range of Receiver/Processors, along with Arcam, NAD and Parasound. Our range covers everything from integrated units to separate processors and power amps.

When it comes to speakers, the choice is vast. One favourite is the very affordable and compact Bowers and Wilkins MT 50 – now in Mk II guise. Fans of the multi dimensional sound of Dolby Atmos will often fit ceiling speakers – again the Bowers and Wilkins range are popular choices.

At the high end, we often find combined Hi-Fi and home cinema systems, where the main loudspeakers are complemented by additional speakers for surround sound purposes. For the ultimate, some of the Wilson Audio based systems we have specified and installed are, quite frankly, mindblowing. Think of the visceral dynamics of a full scale movie theatre system, with the refinement and detail of high end Hi-Fi: that’s what these systems deliver.
