Feliks Audio at Cloney Audio

Starting out more than 20 years ago with custom amplifier designs, Feliks Audio is no stranger to the painstaking pursuit of uncompromising, warm tube sound. Once heard - and seen - it it easy to consider their headphone amps an “audiophile shrine” on a desk, reminding the owner of their never-ending passion for music.

The family run business from Lubliniec, Poland, engineer and manufacture their products in-house from start to finish - and there is a level of pride and consistency in the final product, which can only be achieved when you control the entire process.

In the Euforia, this is made evident through the handmade pure silver wiring, teflon-coated and point-to-point soldered, ensuring the internal signal path as as neutral and transparent as possible. Couple this with custom made transformers and specifically selected capacitors and resistors, creating and end-product that has simple signal paths with as few components as possible.

The outcome is dynamic and revealing OTL amp, powerful enough to drive demanding low impedance headphones - including planar magnetics. And all that while producing a dead-silent background, which often can be a problem for tube amplifiers.

Allow us to illustrate the quality of these amps with an anecdote from a CanJam exhibition some years ago: Feliks Audio where displaying their products paired with Focal headphones and this pairing resulted in several attendees going back-and-forth between the Feliks Audio stand and Focals. Ultimately, a Focal senior manager showed up at their stand, since he had heard people say that Focal headphones sounded better there. From that point on, Focal mandated that the Feliks Audio Euforia was to be the reference amp for future exhibitions!

Enjoying music as a “concert for one” through quality headphones is increasing in popularity and we cannot underscore how much a high quality tube amplifier improves the experience. The Echo mk2 is a great place to start, but don’t blame us for wanting a Euforia one day thereafter…
