Our Story
Noel Cloney opened Ireland’s first Specialist Hi-Fi store in November 1966. From the beginning the aim was to offer high quality sound systems at all price levels backed up with after sales service of the highest quality.
Dedicated listening rooms were soon to follow, and within a few years Cloney Audio were importing and supplier of some of the world’s finest Hi-Fi brands such as Bowers and Wilkins (Since 1968), Arcam (Since 1977). Needless to say the roster of brands has grown significantly over the years to include Spendor, Classe, Clearaudio, Van Den Hul, Aavik and many more. From entry level to the high end of Hi-Fi, Cloney have it covered.
Over the years, the Cloney company has always been at the cutting edge, while being guided by one principle – source, stock and sell and support the best - audio, cinema, and smart home technologies.
What started out as an audio business has grown to encompass home cinema and a whole range of smart home technologies. With decades of experience in all these areas, Cloney can offer a unique blend of expertise and experience across these interlinked areas of music, cinema and smart home.
At its heart we remain a family business, with Ivan and Alan Cloney following in Noel’s footsteps committed to achieving High Fidelity in everything we do.
“Everybody agrees, the experience of live music played by exceptional musicians is hard to beat. Reproducing that experience has been passions of Noel Cloney of Cloney Audio for 50 years.”
